Kitchens

Kitchen redesign can be one of the most impactful changes to update a house. We work collaboratively with the homeowner with the goal of maximizing functional space to best meet the homeowner’s needs. Frequently, this redesign incorporates custom cabinetry with features such as pull out drawers, extra deep cabinets, custom cabinet specifications, or a rare species of wood. Many existing kitchens are not designed to utilize the space to the utmost efficiency, and when we draw up plans, this is our goal.

When working on kitchens, our services include either complete or partial kitchen renovation. We remove and replace existing flooring with tile, laminate, or wood flooring. We can modernize lighting by installing new hanging light fixtures, recessed lighting, or countertop/cabinetry/backsplash lighting. We order and install countertops, backsplash, and new appliances. Most projects include collaborative involvement with our plumber, ***, and cabinet maker, ***. Depending on the extent of the redesign, walls can be knocked down or moved.

Bathrooms

Redesigning bathrooms to both modernize and facilitate better functionality is the end goal for your bathroom remodel. We also strongly consider safety as aspects such as traction of the shower and the bathroom floor, as well as installation of features such as grab bars and shower seats where necessary. We believe that these, as with other safety precautions, should be standard practice to install in every bathroom and better allow your house to age with you. There are many creative designs and materials that allow for great function without compromising design.

As with kitchens, we offer either complete or partial bathroom remodels. When remodeling showers, we can tile to include attractive designs, corner or recessed shelves. Custom tubs/shower stalls or glass doors can also be installed. We use a leveling system to ensure consistent flatness and are able to accommodate a multitude of tile sizes/designs. The majority of bathroom remodels are done with collaboration from Above & Beyond Plumbing.
